Professional Biography
Greg Rossiter is Director of Marketing & Communications for the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences at the University of Denver. He is a communications consultant and Board Advisor to the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), a group of more than 300 leading global brands, suppliers and NGOs working to reduce the environmental and social impacts of products around the world.
He has advised business leaders and led communications functions for some of the world’s top companies and brands.
Most recently, he led internal and external communications at Nike, Inc. for the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Communications Officer and their respective global organizations. Previously, in his role as Global Corporate Communications Director, he managed corporate external communications issues across each of the company’s brands, corporate organizations and international geographies. He was also the primary communications advisor to Nike co-founder and chairman emeritus Phil Knight.
Prior to Nike, Rossiter held communications leadership roles with Walmart, Gap, Inc., FedEx Corp., and Procter & Gamble.
Rossiter has been active throughout his career in professional and philanthropic organizations. He is a past member of the Arthur W. Page Society, the Corporate Advisory Committee of the Council of Public Relations Firms and was a founding member and chairman of the Memphis Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). He has shared his views on communications strategies and practices with organizations including The Conference Board, and with faculty and students at the University of North Carolina, the University of Southern California, and Vanderbilt University.
Rossiter has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., and a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He and his wife reside in Denver.
