Professional Biography

Jessica Roe is an Emmy award winning journalist who has experience in positions from Reporter and Producer, to Executive Producer and News Director, at NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX stations around the country. She has also worked as a Field and Booking Producer for NBC News at the network level covering stories for the Today Show, Nightly News, Dateline NBC and MSNBC. Ms. Roe spent time working as a Chief Communications Officer at the State of Colorado, before eventually obtaining her Masters of Legal Studies at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. She also holds her Private Investigator’s license in several states. Ms. Roe currently enjoys utilizing both her journalism and law degrees in the public sector as a federal government consultant, and, as a member of faculty here at DU. She and her husband have a teenage son and daughter in high school preparing for college, both of whom play competitive soccer in the metro area. Ms. Roe obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Technical Journalism and Minor in Political Science from Colorado State University.
