The Lamont Wind Ensemble continues its season with &ldquo\;Chiaroscuro: From Darkness to Light\,&rdquo\; led by guest conductor Jeremy Van Hoy. The program moves through powerful contrasts in mood and color\, from the luminous hope of Peter Meechan&rsquo\;s Song of Hope to Frank Ticheli&rsquo\;s radiant Lux Perpetua and Cait Nishimura&rsquo\;s evocative Lake Superior Suite. Highlights include a dazzling trumpet duet with Lamont&rsquo\;s new Trumpet professor Brian Neal and DU alum Ryan Spencer\, now a member of the U.S. Air Force Academy Band. Van Hoy also brings his own distinctive arrangements\, adding a personal touch to this journey from shadow into light.
