By signing on behalf of DU\, they pledged to uphold and protect academic freedom and institutional autonomy as key principles essential to the operation of universities. Nearly 1000 universities around the world have now signed the Charter\, defending the idea of the university as an open space dedicated to higher learning without interference. The exhibit also showcases the extensive partnership between DU and the University of Bologna and the many activities and programs that grew out of it.&nbsp\;</div>
