What I do

I teach ​courses in the ​Sociology and Criminology Department, as well as in the Gender, Women & Sexuality ​Studies department. ​I teach Understanding Social Life (Introduction to Sociology), as well as Qualitative ​Research Methods, and several elective courses: ​Masculinities and Sexualities, Men and Masculinities, Schooling & Society, Sociology of Childhood, Gender in Society, and an Advanced Seminar called Deviant Bodies. ​

I am a founding ​co-chair of the Healthy Masculinities working group at the University of Denver and ​a co-director of the Internship program in the Sociology and Criminology Department.

Professional Biography

I am a sociologist and an ethnographer who studies gender, inequalities, and sexualities in youth lives.
