What I do
I teach courses in the Sociology and Criminology Department, as well as in the Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies department. I teach Understanding Social Life (Introduction to Sociology), as well as Qualitative Research Methods, and several elective courses: Masculinities and Sexualities, Men and Masculinities, Schooling & Society, Sociology of Childhood, Gender in Society, and an Advanced Seminar called Deviant Bodies. I am a founding co-chair of the Healthy Masculinities working group at the University of Denver and a co-director of the Internship program in the Sociology and Criminology Department.
Professional Biography
I am a sociologist and an ethnographer who studies gender, inequalities, and sexualities in youth lives.
