We advance psychological science by feeding intellectual curiosity, investing in people, and collaborating for discovery to benefit the communities we serve. Our integrative research spans affective, social, and cognitive psychology, as well as child clinical and developmental psychology, and our award-winning faculty work across disciplines to provide students with hands-on research experience on DU's campus and around the globe.
We do more than teach; we mentor a new generation of leaders. Undergraduates build knowledge and research skills on diverse research and clinical teams, exploring the field through apprenticeships and clinical placements. Graduate students advance psychological discoveries and provide clinical services to the community, all under the close mentorship of experienced faculty.

Mentoring New Leaders
We develop professionals who build inclusive teams and lead across sectors: a community of undergraduates, graduates, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty committed to innovative work. Students and faculty apply their clinical and research skills as allied health professionals, and our focus on biological processes prepares them for careers in neuroscience and medicine. Because our research is integrative, our graduates also make a difference in fields like government, law, business, and education.
Impacting Community
We connect the classroom to the real world. Undergraduates take part in clinical field placements and research assistantships, including immersive work with communities across the greater Denver area, while graduate students grow as researchers, teachers, and mentors through integrative research and clinical services supported by faculty. With over 20 research labs, students can explore developmental, affective, cognitive, social, and neurological processes, and our SEED Research Institute unites faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students to apply scientific knowledge to policy and practice.
