The Department of Psychology offers a range of honors opportunities for students, from undergraduate and graduate awards to departmental distinction and membership in local and national clubs. Many of these opportunities take you outside the traditional classroom, encouraging you to connect on-campus learning to the larger communities we serve through advancements in psychological science.
Joining the distinction program will train you to conduct scholarly research that can benefit your future work in graduate or professional schools. Our program meets the requirements for distinction in psychology for students in the University Honors Program, though you are not required to be in the University Honors Program to pursue distinction in psychology. Upon completion, your transcript will show that you have earned departmental honors, indicating that you have excelled in psychology.
