Honors in Psychology
The Department of Psychology offers a range of honors opportunities for students, from undergraduate and graduate awards to departmental distinction and membership in local and national clubs. Many of these opportunities take you outside the traditional classroom, encouraging you to connect on-campus learning to the larger communities we serve through advancements in psychological science.
Latin Honors
Latin Honors designations for BA and BS degrees are cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude. Candidates for magna cum laude and summa cum laude must complete a thesis, culminating project or distinction in a major. To find out more about Latin Honors, you can complete the Latin Honors qualification form and have it signed by a psychology faculty member.

The Psi Chi National Honors Society and Psychology Club have joint meetings and events throughout the year. Students can connect with faculty, learn from guest speakers, gain valuable information about career paths including graduate school, and discover research and volunteer opportunities in psychology.
