What Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies Makes Possible
Our lives are shaped every day by gender's social, political, cultural and economic contexts. With a degree in Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies, you'll not only learn how to understand the ways that gender shapes our lives, but you'll be prepared to enter public conversations about gender, race and sexuality in our world today. With these skills, you'll have the tools to enter careers and graduate programs in law, social work, politics, activism, gender studies and nonprofit organizations.
The Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies program offers interdisciplinary perspectives on current events. We empower you to analyze the social, cultural and economic contexts of gender and prepare you to create change in a wide variety of careers.
Our faculty come from departments across campus to teach GWSS courses. Bringing their own disciplinary perspectives on gender and sexuality, they teach and conduct research about topics and questions that matter in our world.
