Professional Biography
Elijah White is lively cellist based in Denver, CO. As an avid orchestral musician, Elijah regularly plays with regional orchestras including the Fort Collins Symphony, Greeley Philharmonic, Greensboro Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony, and the Western Piedmont Symphony. Elijah has participated in a number of renowned festivals including the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, the Brevard Summer Music Festival, and the American Institute for Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. He is a prize holder for the 2023 Tennessee Cello Workshop Young Professionals Competition. In Addition to his passion for classical music, Elijah is an active performer in other genres. Highlights include performances with the Trans Siberian Orchestra and Natalie Merchant.
Beyond the cello, Elijah likes playing with his cats, hiking, and baking. Elijah holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Cello Performance and Suzuki Certificate at the University of Denver. His principal teachers have included Isabel Castellvi, Brooks Whitehouse, Matthew Zalkind, and Meta Weiss.
