Professional Biography
Emma Rae Freed is a cellist with a love for teaching, striving to be the best mentor for her students by continuously developing her knowledge. With her degree in Cello Performance and Business Administration from San Diego State University and guidance from Professor Alex Greenbaum, and San Diego State University Community Music School Director Carina Voly, and Suzuki Teacher Trainer Dr. Alice Ann O'Neill, Freed discovered her passion for teaching cello and is now pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Suzuki Pedagogy from the University of Denver. Professor and Suzuki Teacher Trainer Heather Hadley is her current mentor who teaches and encourages refinement of Freed's skills to better support students. Freed accomplishes this by creating unique lesson plans for each student's needs, interests, and musical goals.
