Joe Brown is an Assistant Professor of Media, Film & Journalism Studies. He is a documentary filmmaker who concentrates on the natural world, the relationships between humans and wildlife, and landscapes.

Professional Biography

Joe Brown is a filmmaker and educator based at the University of Denver. His documentary work has screened around the world at venues such as: The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival; The International Wildlife Film Festival; Ethnografilm: Paris; The Wild & Scenic Film Festival; AmDocs; the Birmingham Sidewalk Festival; and the Dallas International Film Festival. Joe is particularly interested in environmental documentary and wildlife photography.
