Dr. Susan Hojnacki coordinates the first-year German language sequence for the Center for World Languages and Cultures and teaches the 1001-1003 German courses. Professional Biography
Dr. Susan Hojnacki has a Ph.D. in German Studies from Michigan State University. She has taught all levels of German language, literature, and cultural studies. Her education focused on the pedagogy of Second Language Acquisition and computer-assisted language learning. She has published in the areas of: The Flipped Classroom in world language learning, student voice in the classroom with educational technology, and social justice in the world language curriculum. Her current research continues to focus on the pedagogy of world language teaching, particularly around learner empowerment and equitable practices.
