Professional Biography

Andrew believes the college admissions process is one of the most important moments in a young artist's journey. Every interaction is an opportunity to expand access, encourage possibility, and help students find a community where they can grow as artists and people. His approach is rooted in authenticity, equity, and the belief that exceptional performing arts education should be both inspiring and accessible.

A proud Lamont alumnus, Andrew serves as Director of Admission for the Lamont School of Music & Theatre, where he leads recruitment and admission initiatives for one of the nation's premier performing arts schools. Drawing on his experiences as both a professional musician and arts administrator, he partners closely with faculty to identify and recruit talented students from around the world while sharing Lamont's distinctive culture of artistic excellence, collaboration, and belonging.

Andrew continues to maintain an active performing career as a percussionist, serving as principal percussionist of the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra and performing regularly with ensembles throughout the region, including the Colorado Symphony. Beyond music, he is an award-winning watercolor artist and served as President of the Colorado Watercolor Society, reflecting his belief that creative expression is transferrable across disciplines and throughout a lifetime.

As both an admissions leader and working artist, Andrew is passionate about preparing students for the evolving future of the arts. He believes tomorrow's performers will succeed through artistic excellence, entrepreneurial thinking, collaboration, and curiosity. Andrew’s vision is to ensure every Lamont graduate leaves with the confidence, versatility, and creative leadership to shape the future of the performing arts. 

Andrew was a festival fellow and soloist in the National Repertory Orchestra and attended the Aspen Music Festival and School. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Denver and a Master of Music and Artist Diploma from Duquesne University. His primary teachers include Ed Stephan, Christopher Allen, John Soroka, and John Kinzie.
