In the Department of Sociology & Criminology, our faculty are dedicated to helping you gain the critical knowledge and skills you need to successfully pursue your career goals. We bring years of expertise to each course we offer and provide one-on-one mentorship to all our students.

Our faculty specialize in numerous areas of sociology and criminology, including the historical and political forces behind mass incarceration, inequality, economic sociology, race and ethnic relations, immigration, gender and life course, media coverage, juvenile delinquency and much more.

In addition to being passionate educators, our faculty have published in nationally recognized journals of sociology and criminology, and have presented their research at scientific conferences. We welcome anyone interested to reach out for guidance or to discuss our work!
