Professional Biography

Neal previously served as Professor of Music at Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida. As a soloist, Neal's mastery has been showcased with elite ensembles, including the California Symphony, Utah Symphony, Florida Philharmonic, and Orchestra Miami. His international engagements include solo performances with Spain’s Leganés Orchestra and Alaska’s Juneau Symphony, where he premiered his own composition, Concertante #1. The work was later invited to Carnegie Hall and performed with the Manuel Rodríguez Sales Conservatory Orchestra in Spain. Neal’s creative achievements culminated in a 2022 Southeast Regional Emmy Award for best performance and composition, earned through a multinational collaboration spanning four countries. Brian Neal is a dynamic and multifaceted trumpet virtuoso, whose artistry has captivated audiences for decades. From his commanding presence as a soloist with orchestras nationwide to his pivotal roles as Principal Trumpet with the Miami City Ballet Orchestra and premiere trumpet of the renowned Dallas Brass, Neal’s career spans continents, including extensive performances across the U.S., Europe, and Russia. His versatility shines in venues as varied as the grand concert halls of Los Angeles and New York, to intimate school gymnasiums from Miami to Utqiaġvik, Alaska.
