Professional Biography
Santhosh Chandrashekar (MA & Ph.D. University of New Mexico) is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Denver. His work examines post-9/11 racial formations in the United States by situating the South Asian diaspora in North America as a site that can illuminate contemporary racial dynamics. Deeply intersectional and comparative, Santhosh's research pays special attention to how security discourses play a constitutive role in producing South Asians as disposable. He is currently working on a book project that examines post-9/11 racialization through a comparative racialization framework.
