"There are a multitude of COMN courses I took that aid me in my current role at Fast Enterprises, LLC, as a Human Resources Administrator. To name a few – 'Communication in the Workplace' and 'Organizational Communication' helped me gain an understanding of different types of communication strategies and structures in workplaces, and how some may function better than others. 'Communicating Grief and Loss' continues to help me navigate conversations about loss and employee support resources. 'Intergenerational Communication' taught me how to relate to, connect with, and manage interactions with colleagues of all ages and demographics. DU Communication Studies is a special program because it offers a breadth of information and opportunity."
