Andrew Santana Kaplan
Assistant Professor
Professional Biography
Kaplan's research centers on the creative and destructive forces of Black radical poetics across aesthetic, political, and ethical registers of thought. In particular, their work thematizes the apocalyptic and messianic signatures latent in 20th- and 21st-century secular African American literature and theory to elaborate the aporetic ethical demands they make upon non-Black readers.
