Professional Biography
Johnson has previously taught at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Johnson researches fiction and narrative, especially narratives overlooked by the dominant power structure. Johnson's work explores the interplay between gender, race, sexuality, and belief in African American culture, including traditional practices and historical patterns of power.
