Reducing Inequities in Student Education Lab

The Reducing Inequities in Student Education (RISE) Lab investigates ways individual and institutional racial biases impact academic performance, socio-emotional development and identity development. We use a combination of methods to explore how racial biases are perpetuated and how they influence youth from early childhood to adolescence. Through this work, we optimize healthy child development by informing effective interventions, school policy changes and teacher preparation programs.
