Derigan Silver is an Associate Professor and the Chair in the Department of Media, Film and Journalism Studies at the University of Denver. He has published in peer review journals and law reviews on government secrecy and national security law, originalism, defamation, social architecture theory, access to the judiciary, commercial speech, and student expression. Silver received his doctoral degree in mass communication in 2009 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
