Professional Biography

Heather has over 15 years of experience in digital strategy, content governance, and multi-channel communications, most recently leading high-impact campaigns and large-scale digital modernization efforts for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Her work has included managing complex federal contracts, launching new brand systems, mentoring cross-functional teams, and streamlining content ecosystems across government and academic sectors. At NREL, she oversaw global communications initiatives that amplified public understanding of clean energy research, reaching millions through web, social, and video platforms.

A passionate advocate for inclusive storytelling and mission-driven communications, Heather previously held roles at MIT, Harvard University, Boston University, Southern Methodist University, and Denver Public Schools, where she specialized in translating complex academic research into meaningful narratives for diverse audiences. She holds an M.S. in Nonprofit Administration and a B.A. in Film and Media Arts.

Heather is excited to bring her strategic expertise and collaborative spirit to CAHSS, supporting the college's goals around enrollment, strategic marketing, and departmental support.
