Juliana Ortiz

Juliana Ortiz is an incoming graduate student pursuing a Master's in International and Intercultural Communication. She completed her undergraduate studies at Rider University, where she majored in Communication Studies with an emphasis on Culture and Communication. After competing with the university's Model United Nations team, Juliana knew that she wanted to use her communication skills to help bridge the gap that can present itself when communicating cross-culturally. She is also an advocate for the importance of developing the intercultural communication competency skill in our globalized society. Born and raised in New Jersey, this is the first time Juliana is leaving the east coast and moving out west, but she is eager to explore, learn, and take advantage of everything DU and Denver have to offer!
