Professional Biography

Patrick Cottrell is the author of the forthcoming Afternoon Hours of a Hermit (Ecco) and Sorry to Disrupt the Peace (McSweeney's). His work has appeared Harper's Magazine, Granta, Ploughshares, BOMB, The White Review, McSweeney's Quarterly and other places. He has guest-edited a special issue of McSweeney's Quarterly dedicated to queer fiction. He's the winner of a Whiting Award in Fiction and his work is being translated into Korean, French, Italian, and Turkish.
