Professional Biography
Pin-Hsuan Peng, born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 2002, learned piano at the age of five and has been passionate about playing the piano since then. With her extraordinary performance, Pin-Hsuan was admitted to the music-talented class at Gu-Ting Elementary School, RenAi Junior High School, The Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University and National Taiwan Normal University. Now she is studying at the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music, and has obtained a Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA).
She majors in the piano, studying under Professor Stephanie Cheng, Mao-Shu Lien, Ying-Ju Lin, Yue-Chwen Lin, and Hsing-Chwen Hsin. Furthermore, she has a minor in clarinet, studying under Professor Pie-Yun Ling, Wei-de Song, and Chun-Yen Lai.
To improve her musical abilities, Pin-Hsuan participated in many international music festivals: at Music Fest Perugia in Taipei NTNU, she learned from Ilana Vered, Jerome Lowenthal, John Perry, and Pascal Nemirovski; in Académie Internationale d'Eté de Nice, she learned from Pascal Roge and Marie-Josephe Jude; in Valencia International Performing Arts Summer Festival, she learned from Boris Slutsky, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, and Pavel Nersessian. She also won second prize at the VIPA International Piano Competition. In addition, she participated in master classes with Andrei Korobeinikov, Eric La Sage, Roman Zaslavsky, Thomas Rosenkranz, and Victor Rosenbaum.
She has taught private piano lessons to students of various ages, including music majors and students who are not piano majors but have a passion for music. Additionally, she has earned a Teacher Qualification Certificate in Taiwan. She is excited to continue her teaching journey, sharing her love for music and inspiring students to grow in their musical abilities.
