As a community of active researchers, teachers, scholars and scientists, there's always something going on in the Department of Psychology. You can read about our innovations in Psychology Matters, our departmental newsletter, or join us at an event, workshop or lecture.
Discoveries in Psychological Science Colloquium Series
Attend talks and participate in discussions at the cutting-edge of psychology and related fields. The series emphasizes our commitment to the integration of research, teaching and inclusive excellence, and speakers are asked to speak to the intersections of these topics. We invite DU, local and world-renowned researchers to present their scholarship. Talks in this series are open to all DU students, faculty, staff and community members.

Continuing Education Credits
Continuing Education lectures and workshops are open to those at DU and in the larger Denver community. Our events vary in length and in topic, and are guided by psychology faculty from all three concentration areas: ASC, Developmental and Clinical Child. The University of Denver's Department of Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to support continuing education for psychologists.
Alumni continue to participate in our community, attending lectures, workshops and the Discoveries in Psychological Science Colloquium series. Throughout the year, we host special events to celebrate alumni efforts and connections to our campus.
Close support from psychology department chair Anne DePrince helped Michelle Lee (PhD ‘18) succeed in her challenging developmental psychology doctorate program at DU. Lee has since landed a job as a data scientist with Pearson, where she focuses on integrating artificial intelligence with educational tools.
Curious about the new frontiers of research in Clinical and Cultural Psychology? Two of our new instructors in DU's Department of Psychology are bringing in innovative methods to teaching and research in psychological science.
