Professional Biography

Raised in Colorado and recently returned after nearly a decade abroad, Adam Gang is a saxophonist and music educator active in the Denver music scene. Adam holds a B.M. in Jazz Studies with an emphasis on saxophone performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a M.M. in Music Performance with an emphasis on jazz saxophone from the University of Denver.

Since returning to Colorado in 2021, Adam has shared the stage with the Gabriel Mervine Group, Paa Kow, Eric Gunnison, Bijoux Barbosa, Mike Marlier, Henrique De Almeida, Brad Goode, Wil Swindler, and Vlad Girshevich.

He has also performed with the Annie Booth Big Band, Remy Le Boeuf’s Assembly of Shadows, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Central City Opera, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra.

Adam was a member of the pit orchestra for the Colorado run of the touring Broadway productions Tina (2023) and MJ (2024) at the Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre.

As a leader, Adam has released two albums, Many Returns (2023, Synergy Records) and his newest project, Where Does This Find You (2024, Ninjazz Records). He also recorded as a sideman on Paa Kow’s album Ask (2014).
