Alana Rowan (she/her) is a PhD student in English & Literary Arts (Literary Studies) at the University of Denver. She is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. She holds a BS and an MA from Missouri State University, where she taught composition and literature. Broadly, her research focuses on 20th-century African American literature. Her hobbies include reading, doing puzzles, and cuddling with her cat, Basil.
