What I do
I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Director of the Developmental Neuropsychology Clinic in the Center for Child and Family Psychology (CCFP). In the Developmental Neuropsychology Clinic, I provide supervision and work with families seeking comprehensive evaluations of learning and other neurodevelopmental differences for children, teens, and emerging adults.Professional Biography
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology with a specialization in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Denver, under the mentorship of Dr. Bruce Pennington. I completed my clinical internship at Phoenix Children’s Hospital with an emphasis in pediatric neuropsychology, and I worked in the Department of Rehabilitation at Children’s Hospital Colorado prior to directing the clinic.
My interests are in neuropsychology and the comprehensive assessment of dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning and neurodevelopmental differences. I am also interested in how learning-related differences influence mental health in youth, as well as the use of telehealth in assessment and ways of increasing accessibility for evaluation services. In our clinic, we recognize the importance of comprehensive assessments that thoughtfully consider the broader cultural, family, educational, and social contexts for each individual. We work to incorporate and continually develop competency and humility in providing culturally-responsive evaluation services for clients from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
