"Snapshots of Confinement," a film co-produced by College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (CAHSS) Department of Anthropology Associate Professor, Estaban Gómez, and Anthropology graduate alumna, Whitney Peterson, explores the lives of Japanese Americans during World War II through photo albums.

The film was recently awarded Best Film in the Race & Society category from the Los Angeles Press Club and Best Film in the Culture/History category at the Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards.
