Participate in Research
At the BRAVE lab, we conduct research to improve the efficiency of treatments for children and adolescents with anxiety. If your child or teen is interested in participating in one of our research studies, please read more about our studies below and contact us for more information.
Anxiety Study
Is your child often anxious, nervous, worried or scared? The BRAVE Lab is testing a computerized program that may help kids and teens feel less anxious and stressed.

Eligibility
Does your child have a hard time separating from you; worry a lot about school, friends, family, health or new situations; feel really shy or embarrassed in social situations; or always seem to be stressed about something? If your child has some of these characteristics, and if they are ages 10 to 17 and have access to a computer and internet at home, they may be eligible for participation in this study.

Participants Receive
Eligible kids and youth may receive a free mental health evaluation and a four-week computerized training program that may help them feel less worried, nervous, scared or stressed. Families may receive free parking and compensation for study visits.
OCD Study
Does your child have obsessive-compulsive disorder? The BRAVE Lab is testing a computerized program that may reduce OCD symptoms in kids and teens.

Eligibility
Does your child have symptoms of OCD? Do they have recurring thoughts that make no sense but make them feel bad, wash excessively or have fear of germs or contamination, have to do things over and over again, or check and double-check more than necessary? If your child has some of these characteristics, and if they are ages 10 to 17 and have access to a computer and internet at home, they may be eligible for participation in this study.
