The mission of our James Kirk Lectureship, founded in 1998, is to foster greater understanding of the important role religion plays in the world and in American civic life and discourse. Inspired by the exceptional work and initiative of James Kirk, one of the founding members and former chairs of the department, this lectureship has welcomed many distinguished speakers to DU. If you're interested in religion, join our faculty, students and speakers for this annual lecture.
