Faculty in the News: Heritage Language
Lina Reznicek-Parrado, Director of the Spanish Program for Heritage/Bilingual Speakers for the Spanish Language, Literary and Cultural Studies Department, was interviewed by Denver7 news. The story explores how studying a heritage language can help people connect to their culture. Reznicek-Parrado directs DU's Spanish for Heritage Speakers program. Through the program, students with family or personal connections to Spanish can take courses specifically geared to helping them prepare for successful participation in culture and literature courses, research and internships.
