Financial Aid & Scholarships

Financial support helps students thrive, whether in the classroom or abroad. Alongside University support and federal aid, the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures offers scholarships to help you reach your academic goals. Plus, our robust financial aid for study abroad programs means you can experience immersion in the culture of your choice as you explore its art, literature and language.

College and University Financial Aid

DU offers need-based and merit-based language scholarships, work-study opportunities for students, loan options and more. Federal assistance, state aid and private scholarships offer additional support for undergraduates. The College offers grants for research and creative work, as well as funding for students to participate in unpaid internship opportunities. Funding is also available for study abroad

Department Financial Aid

Along with the University and College aid available to students in any language, the department offers scholarships for the study of Italian. The Anna Maglione-Sie Endowment in Italian Culture at the University of Denver funds undergraduate scholarships for declared Italian majors, along with funding visiting scholars, faculty research and travel, and events. The Taglialavore Endowed Scholarship Fund provides financial support to DU Italian majors. Funding is also available for study abroad.
