Professional Biography
Cristina A. Bejan, PhD, is an award-winning, Colorado-born, Romanian-American historian, theatre artist, and spoken word poet. After four enriching years of teaching history and theatre at Metropolitan State University of Denver, she is delighted to join the University of Denver to teach history of the Holocaust. Bejan is both a Rhodes and Fulbright Scholar, and she spent four years working at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC as a doctoral research fellow and researcher on the USHMM "Encyclopedia of Camps and Ghettos" project. In addition to publishing 64 articles for USHMM's Encyclopedia, Bejan has published three books with more on the way. As a historian, she conducts research in twelve languages.
