Press Release  • Announcement  •
masterclass

Lamont Summer Academy is excited to partner with Friends of Chamber Music as we pull back the curtain on one of Lamont’s most important youth outreach and public good efforts: Masterclass Day at the Lamont Summer Academy.

Held on Saturday, June 24, these masterclasses are open to the public and feature performances by select young musicians attending Lamont Summer Academy (LSA). While attending LSA, they receive coachings by Lamont faculty and guest artists.

We invite all young musicians, their families, their instructors, and members of area youth orchestras and school ensembles to attend and see first-hand what Lamont Summer Academy offers.

These eight masterclasses are open to members of the Friends of Chamber Music audience, the Lamont School of Music audience, and the general public. Audience members will see what it is like for these talented young musicians to receive feedback and interact with professionals in the field.

We want to thank Friends of Chamber Music for their support in helping us share such an important part of our work with the Denver music community.

Lamont Summer Academy is a two-week music intensive hosted at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music. We offer lessons with a world-class faculty, masterclasses, chamber music, multiple performance and recital opportunities, orchestra, wind ensemble, opera and musical theater, composition, and multiple electives.
