Step back in time with the Lamont School of Music as we celebrate our 100th Anniversary with "1924 Revisited." This special event pays homage to the year of our founding with a selection of iconic works that premiered in 1924, performed by our talented students, faculty, and distinguished alumni. The evening will feature Richard Harris performing Grøndahl's Trombone Concerto; Linda Wang as the soloist in Ravel's Tzigane; pianist Stephanie Cheng in Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue; Tatiana Mayfield Brown as vocalist in Gershwin’s “Fascinating Rhythm” and “The Man I Love”; and Matthew Plenk in Puccini's "Nessun Dorma!" from Turandot. The concert will culminate with Lamont alumni joining the orchestra on stage for a performance of Respighi’s Pines of Rome.
