The Emergent Digital Practices program has an array of dynamic and flexible spaces infused with technology, giving students all the tools they need to bring their ideas into the world. Moving beyond the simple computer monitor, we encourage our students to explore in spatial, mobile, visual, audible and the tactile modes.
Students in Action
Our students use our spaces to learn and collaborate with one another and to build community. Whether they're creating immersive experiences, game and interactive media, or other digital designs, our students help their projects grow in our spaces.
Our student-focused studio Center for Creativity, Culture & Collaboration, on the top floor of Shwayder Art Building, is literally based on the kind of open and flexible architecture at the heart of our aesthetics, ethics, practices, scholarship and pedagogies. We encourage students to combine their majors and minor disciplines into their creative expressions, joining bodies of knowledge and working together.
