We want to hear your voice! As a member of one of Lamont's choirs, you can perform great repertoire, increase your musicianship and join a community that shares a passion for singing. All members of the DU community are encouraged to audition for the choirs at Lamont.
Auditions for Lamont Chorale are held the week before classes begin and the first week of classes in fall quarter or by appointment throughout the year. No audition is required for non-voice majors interested Voces Aureas (Soprano-Alto) and Voces Fortes (Tenor-Bass). Voice majors need to audition for placement. Students may sign up for an audition time by contacting Dr. Catherine Sailer at catherine.sailer@du.edu. The audition includes an optional solo song in any style, vocalizing and assessment of aural and sight reading skills. Credits earned through participation in a choir may be applied to the AI-Society core requirement.
Auditions for the Spirituals Project Choir are held by appointment with the director. A brief vocal interview will determine appropriate placement within these ensembles. For further information, contact Professor M. Roger Holland II at Roger.Holland@du.edu.

The Spirituals Project was founded to preserve and revitalize the music and teachings of the sacred folk "spirituals," originally created by African Americans in slavery. The choir's repertoire highlights these spirituals, and also includes music from the African American experience.
