The program begins with Quinn Mason's Inspiration! Festive Overture, a dynamic and uplifting work that showcases the composer's gift for blending traditional orchestral sound with fresh, modern energy. Next, experience the virtuosity of the Lamont Solo Honors Competition Winner, Timothy Coffey, performing the clarinet concerto of Jan Van der Roost. The evening concludes with both orchestral suites from Bizet’s Carmen, bringing to life the fiery rhythms, memorable melodies, and vivid characters of this beloved opera.
