Students enrolled in the MA in Media and Public Communication are eligible to apply to the interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Public Diplomacy, a joint program with the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. The certificate allows students to combine classes in strategic communication and international relations and explore how governments and nongovernmental actors use mediated communication to inform, influence and engage in dialogue with international publics. Students choose a regional or thematic specialization based on their interests and prepare for careers in cultural diplomacy, nation branding, international public affairs, and health and development communication.
