Students enrolled in the BFA in studio art program have the opportunity to create art and experiment with numerous art forms. The opportunity to explore and practice different art forms has prepared BFA alumna Faith Williams Dyrsten to teach her students how to have a voice in their artwork.
An encounter with the remains of a Colorado mining town led Professor Sarah Gjertson to explore the roles of women in the American West during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The project utilizes printmaking, photography, sculpture and found objects.
