Be active. Have fun. Give back! That’s the motto for the Brewery Running Series, an initiative co-founded by DU alumna Morgan Jappe (BM '08). From its humble beginnings eight years ago, the Brewery Running Series now boasts events across the nation where participants complete a 5K, followed by beers at a local brewery. A portion of the proceeds goes back to local nonprofits.

This fall, the Lamont School of Music welcomes four new full-time faculty members whose international reputations precede them.
The Lamont School of Music’s fall season opens with Colorado Symphony Music Director Brett Mitchell conducting the Lamont Symphony Orchestra. Guest and faculty artists perform throughout the season and the Lamont Opera Theatre Gala, conducted by new faculty member Sahar Nouri will be presented twice. Performances are in the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Denver campus.
When Steve Johnson (BSME '67) chose the University of Denver for his undergraduate education, two factors mattered most: He wanted a good program in mechanical engineering and, as a first-generation college student from a low-income family in Portland, Oregon, he needed significant financial aid. He also had an interest in music.
