
Our MA in media and public communication has been well-publicized over the last few months by MastersinCommunications, an online resource for people who are interested in master’s degrees in all communications-related fields.

Loosineh Markarian, PhD, a 2009 alumna of the MA in international and intercultural communication, is rebellious.

Vincent De La Torre (BA '13) is not afraid to address the hard issues. His film, "Trails of Hope and Terror," a project that spanned seven years, discusses the reasoning behind and the politics surrounding immigration, and seeks to unravel the historical events that have led to its current state.

DU cares deeply about the well-being of its students, and it strives to create the best environment for students to not only receive a higher-level education in a variety of fields, but to also grow and develop as people. Although this has always been a goal of the University, the administration has recently made significant steps towards this ideal environment.

Kathryn is an environmentalist who loves the outdoors and she wanted to bring these passions into her professional career. A native of Florida, she moved to Denver to pursue a master's degree in Strategic Communication at the University of Denver. During her studies, she was a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Media, Film & Journalism Studies. Kathryn graduated in June 2017 and now lives and works in Denver.
