Life after death wasn’t supposed to be this funny
Just days before potentially fulfilling his lifelong ambition, a leading contender for this year’s Nobel Prize in Economics is found dead in his bed. His four closest friends, who have known him for the past 50 years, make an extraordinary decision: what if they could hide his death for five days, allowing him to “die” with an extraordinary honor to his name? What seems like a relatively simple task quickly turns into an overwhelmingly complicated challenge.

Noa Yedlin is a multiple award-winning Israeli author and screenwriter whose work has been praised for its dark humor and incisive take on everyday Israeli reality. She is the author of several best-selling novels, including the smash hit Stockholm. Published at the end of 2023 and translated into English by International Man-Booker winner Jessica Cohen, Stockholm has been hailed as “a seriously funny take on death and dying” (Kirkus) and “a deviously clever black comedy” (Publishers Weekly).

Season 1, Episodes 1-2 will be screened in the theater, followed by a live discussion with Noa Yedlin. Ticketholders will receive a link to stream Episodes 3-4 for free at home. Ticketholders are invited to join us at a reception following the screening & discussion.
